Terroir
Like all Michel Forgeron Cognacs, this Napoleon Cognac comes from the Grande Champagne region, the most prestigious of the Cognac production area.
Ageing
This Cognac Napoleon is a blend of old cognacs aged from 15 to 25 years in French oak barrels in Michel Forgeron's cellars, and has a strength of 43% vol.
Tasting
Visual examination:
This Cognac Napoleon has a sublime golden brown colour, very brilliant and with mahogany tints.
Olfactory examination:
A nose of great finesse with a beautiful aromatic tension of spicy, nutty, caramel notes.
But also stewed and pastry notes.
Taste examination:
Suppleness, roundness, subtlety.
An impressive display of aromas in the mouth with great persistence.
An end of mouth on buttered and toasted notes.
