Pineau des Charentes owes its personality to the grape varieties that go into it. On our vineyard in Segonzac, we carefully select the best plots to produce a must of great quality.

For white Pineau, we favour Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Montils, emblematic grape varieties of the Charente vineyard, valued for their freshness and aromatic finesse.

For red Pineau, we blend Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which bring structure, fruit and colour.

Grape ripeness is decisive: it is closely monitored so that we harvest at the optimal moment, when the fruit has reached the ideal sugar content to reveal its full potential once fortified with Cognac.
