Terroir
Like all Michel Forgeron cognacs, this Cognac Vieille Réserve comes from the Grande Champagne region, the most prestigious of the Cognac production area.
Ageing
This Cognac Vieille Réserve is a blend of very old cognacs aged from 30 to 40 years in French oak barrels, it has a titre of 45% vol.
Tasting
Visual examination:
Its colour is a slight reddish brown with golden highlights.
Olfactive examination:
A powerful and lively nose.
Aromas of candied lemon and woody notes: pepper, cloves, fresh tobacco.
Taste examination:
The mark of a well-structured Eau-de-Vie that blossoms into a fine and graceful Rancio.
Very great aromatic persistence on vanilla and toasted notes.
